It’s fascinating to think surfing has enough space under its broad umbrella to comfortably fit both of these views, and many others besides them. (And as far as I know, there’s nothing in the good book forbidding you from unwinding with a joint or two.)
Surfing is endlessly adaptable to just about any aspect of the human experience, whether you prefer the profound, the profane, or something in between. We all contain multitudes, as the saying goes, but one can’t help but think surfing has more complexity and contradictions than just about anything else. It is at once a rejection of traditional societal values; and also one of the last bastions of tribalism in its most primal form, manifested as a deep seated suspicion of outsiders. Surfing’s lineups are filled with a diverse range of people of all ages, backgrounds and political views. The sport is also overwhelmingly white and male, to a degree that would get it in trouble if it were a country club. If current trends hold, surfing will mostly be a sport for those with the means to live in the most expensive areas of the world; but the only accepted currency in the water will continue to be respect, now and forever.
There are countless things that sacrifice integrity in the quest for broad appeal. Surfing is not one of them. It is a pursuit that connects people and nature in a way that is immune to the corrupting influences of commercialism, vanity and the herd mentality, and that is something we can all celebrate, regardless of our personal beliefs.”]

Mais uma dica boa do João . Acho que já falei uma vez que o João é a pessoa com o gosto musical mais próximo do meu . Se um dia puder , grava umas fitas como se fazia “antigamente” que eu compro pra ouvir no meu Deck . 😎

Acho que The Ballad of Johnny Butt e NEW REALIZATION vão te agradar . O resto do álbum é mais do mesmo .
Enquanto escrevia essa mensagem , seguia ouvindo o episódio simultaneamente. Porém, por um bom motivo tive o episódio interrompido seguidas vezes no meu spotfy.
O motivo?
Minha filha de 6 anos acordou e como ela faz todos os dias , pediu pra ALEXA(Amazon) tocar Pitty no quarto dela . Isso faz com que todas as contas da família escutem a mesma coisa . No meu caso estou no aeroporto tentando ouvir o Boia no fone de ouvido todo orgulhoso da pequena viciada em rock 🎸.
Solução é ver se o episódio já está disponível no Deezer e deixar ela com o spotfy.
